The Best of Myanmar—Publication

In 2013, the Ministry of Hotels and Tourism in Myanmar launched the Tourism Master Plan, aimed at guiding the sustainable development of the tourism sector.

With a belief in the transformative power of travel and a passion for fostering cultural exchanges, we were inspired by the opportunity to showcase Myanmar’s world-class hospitality to the international community. We aimed to contribute to the realisation of the ministry’s vision and further elevate Myanmar’s presence on the global tourism stage.

To capture and communicate the essence of Myanmar, we believed a coffee table book would be the perfect medium. Just like experiencing the rich textures of Myanmar’s cities, a book offers a tangible, tactile experience. Through the thoughtful selection of paper, careful word choices, and the timeless process of ink on paper, creating a book becomes a celebration of human craftsmanship and a tribute to Myanmar’s artistic and craft heritage.

In addition, by collaborating with local writers, photographers, markets, and print vendors, the book would become a collective effort that supports and benefits the surrounding communities.
