Live On—Tote Bag

We believe that as society improves, individuals grow and evolve in tandem. By contributing to the well-being and functionality of our communities, we can play an active role in the positive transformation of ourselves.

For this project, the theme ‘Making a Difference: Starting with Me’ embodies this concept. To visually represent it, we designed a central persona, placed at the heart of the tote bag artwork, surrounded by community members. Together, they form a connected series of links that shape a heart. This heart symbolises the collective impact that occurs when everyone plays a part—illustrating the idea that the whole is greater than the sum of its parts.

The persona is designed in red, symbolising love, compassion, and the courage to act. Surrounding them, the community members are depicted in a spectrum of rainbow colours, representing inclusivity. The bold, solid typeface further emphasises the trait of courage, reinforcing the message of strength and unity.

Considering the design’s placement on a tote bag, we kept scale and depth in mind. From a distance, the heart, the persona, and the chains are clearly visible. Up close, the intricate details reveal deeper messages, engaging the viewer’s curiosity. This interaction communicates the powerful message: ‘I can make a difference.’
