MonoLab Studio—Website Design
Task
Design and develop a website
Founded in 2021, MonoLab Studio is a multidisciplinary design and architectural firm with offices in Singapore and Paris. They wanted an upgraded website to boost lead generation opportunities.
To guide an effective website design, we conducted thorough research. We examined websites of other design firms, analysing their content, design, and user experiences to draw insights and identify opportunities for MonoLab. We also interviewed client developers to better understand their behaviours and preferences when selecting a design firm for project opportunities. Additionally, we assessed a visual mockup provided by MonoLab, identifying potential usability issues, which we later validated with the developers.
Two key insights emerged: (1) The content of a website is the most crucial element (more so than design, features, or functionality)—particularly project details, team information, and blog articles. (2) Client users prioritise quickly and effectively accessing the information they need from a design firm’s website.

Guided by our research, we collaborated with MonoLab on content strategy and development, crafting a design that is both straightforward and user-friendly, while preserving the firm’s design aesthetic.
We developed wireframes and prototypes to determine the most effective responsive design, testing them with client developer users. After four rounds of design iterations, we finalised the high-fidelity website, which is slated for launch in early 2025.
